Pete and Mike Mitchell started Mitchell’s in 1999, thinking it would be a fun way to spend their lives: working with each other and passionately handcrafting delicious ice cream. They both work creatively with exceptional people, from the local farmers, which they buy ingredients from, to the enthusiastic servers that greet their customers.
Each batch is hand-crafted in our Ohio City Kitchen (watch us anytime). Ingredients that grow well in our Ohio climate we get from friends around here. Ingredients that grow best in different climates we get from the world’s best producers. We do a lot of searching, and we’ll never be done. In everything we do we keep firmly in mind the health of the people who eat our ice cream, the lives of the farmers who grow our ingredients, and the sanctity of the air, water, and soil that we all depend on.
