CLEVELAND — Memorial Day has arrived, and 3News has created a list of parades taking place across Northeast Ohio as the community remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Below is a list of events taking place throughout Memorial Day weekend.
AVON LAKE
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
The parade begins at Avon Lake High School and ends at Veterans Memorial Park.
BAY VILLAGE
- Monday, May 29
- 8:45 a.m.
The parade begins at Huntington Park and will end with a ceremony in Cahoon Park.
BEDFORD
- Monday, May 29
- 10:15 a.m.
The parade will start at Bedford City Hall and end at the Bedford Cemetery.

BRECKSVILLE
- Monday, May 29
- 11 a.m.
The parade will begin at Brecksville City Hall and will proceed north on Route 21 to Public Square. Eventually, the parade will move west to Route 82 to Highland Drive and to the cemetery, where a program will happen.
BROADVIEW HEIGHTS
- Monday, May 29
- 9 a.m.
The parade will begin at the Crossings Shopping Center on West Royalton Road.
CHAGRIN FALLS
- Monday, May 29
- 10-11 a.m.
The Memorial Day parade will begin at Triangle Park and will end at the Evergreen Cemetery.
ELYRIA
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
The parade begins on Court Street to Broad Street and ends at Ridge Lawn Cemetery.
FAIRVIEW PARK
- Monday, May 29
- 8 a.m.
The “We Do Care” Memorial Day service will take place at City Hall at 8 a.m. A Memorial Day Parade will begin at the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home parking lot at 9 a.m.
GARFIELD HEIGHTS
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
A Memorial Day Parade and service will take place at 10 a.m. at the Garfield Heights Civic Center
GREEN
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
Prior to the start of the parade at Green High School, individuals are invited to the annual pancake breakfast at Fire Station 1 on Massillon Road from 7–10 a.m.
HUDSON
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Immediately following the parade, there will be a Memorial Day ceremony at Markillie Cemetery with the Military and Veterans Commission.
MENTOR
Monday, May 29
9:30 a.m.
The annual parade begins at 9:30 a.m. in Heinen’s parking lot. The City of Mentor will also host a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Mentor Cemetery on Hopkins Road at 10 a.m.
NEW FRANKLIN
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
The New Franklin Memorial Day parade will begin at Grace Bible Church and end at Manchester Cemetery. A remembrance ceremony will take place following the parade.
NORTH RIDGEVILLE
- Monday, May 29
- 9:45 a.m.
The parade will begin at the North Ridgeville Senior Center and will travel down Bainbridge Road, finishing at Ranger Stadium, where a memorial service will be held.
PAINESVILLE
- Monday, May 29
- 10 a.m.
It begins at Riverside Cemetery and will end at Evergreen Cemetery.
PARMA HEIGHTS
- Monday, May 29
- 9:30 a.m.
A Memorial Day service will take place at the Parma-South Presbyterian Church, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at Parma Heights Cemetery. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs and hand-held flags.
SHAKER HEIGHTS
- Monday, May 29
- 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
A ceremony will start in front of Shaker Heights City Hall, followed by a parade. The parade will begin at Lee Road and Van Aken Boulevard, finishing at the Van Aken District.
SEVEN HILLS
- Monday, May 29
- 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Memorial Day parade will begin at St. Columbkille and end at Seven Hills City Hall. A Memorial Day ceremony will follow at 11:15 a.m. in front of City Hall.
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS
- Monday, May 29
- 11 a.m.
The longest-running eastside parade in Cleveland will begin on Silsby Road, between Ashurst and Canterbury roads.
