Five Iron Golf, Detroit Duckpin Opening at Van Aken District in Shaker Hts. Later this Year

Five Iron Golf, a leader in the indoor golf arena, will add a second location of its popular entertainment venue in the Greater Cleveland area. The first opened downtown in 2023. The second is headed to the Van Aken District, in the space formerly home to 1899 Golf and Social Club, which closed this past winter. It is expected to open in late 2025.

District Gallery moving into larger space in Van Aken District

When District Gallery opened in 2019 at 20076 Walker Road in Shaker Heights under the leadership of three art lovers – Richard Uria, Karen Chaikin and the late Bob Roth – it was created on the premise of establishing a space for art enthusiasts, designers and all types of collectors to experience art and exchange views on the ever-changing art community.

The Centro took its place. “It just needed a refresh,” said General Manager Kenny Didier. “I think it was time to change it up a bit.” Centro, a “rustic Italian-inspired steakhouse with an emphasis on fresh, clean ingredients,” opened on November 4th. The all new menu features hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, house-made pastas, and sourdough brick-oven pizzas. The patio remains similar to Adega just with an updated look.
