When it comes to skincare, you really don’t want to be the person who cuts corners.
At the same time, driving across state lines for a little aesthetic wellness boost might not be the most practical solution. Yet, prior to CEO Greg Sanker and Medical Director Dr. Rachel Mistur’s collaborative decision to open a new storefront in Shaker Heights, that’s what a lot of Clevelanders had to do.
Chatting with members of the team during the grand opening this past week, it seemed that Cuyahoga County was the next natural step as the Pittsburgh-based center found itself greeting an increasing number of patients from the Northeast Ohio region. This could not have been a clearer sign to start settling house for Sanker and Mistur, the married Cleveland natives who are raising their family within The Land.
“We care deeply about Cleveland and are thrilled to bring The Skin Center’s aesthetic expertise to our hometown. Our location in the Van Aken District is the first of more to come in Cleveland, as we plan to expand to the West Side later this year. The demand for aesthetic treatments is growing rapidly and we offer a quality experience that people want and is unlike any other in our area,” says Sanker.
With that being said, what kind of care does The Skin Center offer?
Saying, “everything,” seems a bit generalized, but my goodness, do they offer a lot. From medical-grade facials, microneedling, laser treatments, cosmetic surgical procedures, chemical peels, dermal fillers and body sculpting, if you are looking to enhance or upkeep your head-to-toe glow, The Skin Center wants you to know that they are ready for you.
This talented team of aesthetic clinicians and medical aestheticians pride themselves on their dedication to providing natural results.
“We really differentiate ourselves with our training and our expertise. We usually train about double the average standard of other injectors and aesthetic clinicians, so from that side of things, we’re bringing great results to people. We’re focused on natural results, but most importantly we’re focused on safety with every treatment,” says Marketing Director Zach Cole, who radiates nothing but warmth and positivity.
In fact, the entire team exudes this same relaxed confidence. Not a bad trait given their line of work, but Cole knows that this comes from the readiness received during training, as well as their perspective on the nature of what they provide.
“These can be pretty serious [procedures]. We want to make sure people are walking out feeling like their best self, looking like their best self, and not dealing with unnecessary follow-up issues.”
Although closed on Sundays, the hours of operation for the Shaker Heights location are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
