We’re just one month away from 🌼 Bloom & Buzz — happening Friday, May 9 from 5–7:30PM at the Van Aken District — and we’re thrilled to share a few things you can look forward to!
✂️ The Mayor’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (5pm)
Join us in front of the Market Hall as we welcome Mayor Weiss for the official unveiling of our turf.
🎶 Live Music by Gumbo Dance Party
Get ready for a high-energy set filled with New Orleans brass, funk, and soul — music that’ll keep the District buzzing all night long.
🎨 Face Painting for All Ages
Our talented face painters will be on-site to add a splash of color and creativity — fun for kids and adults!
🛍️ Shop Local: Makers & Vendors Market
Browse and support over 15 local vendors offering handmade goods, jewelry, art, flowers, and more.
🖍️ Arts & Crafts
We’ll have themed coloring pages available for little ones (and grown-ups too) to get creative during the event.
