Nicole Dauria, the founder of Batter Cake and Dough, was inspired by her passion for authenticity and street food culture during her travels through Europe. Upon returning, she decided to share her love for traditional treats like Dutch Poffertjes, Liege waffles, and crepes with her community. It all began with a simple idea at brunch, which evolved into her signature “pop tails” – fresh fruit frozen confections served with Prosecco. Encouraged by friends, Nicole transitioned from a corporate sales career to pursue her culinary dream.
Driven by her desire to create delicious treats from wholesome ingredients, Nicole started her journey, initially focusing on gourmet ice cream popsicles. Her offerings expanded to include a range of delights such as bread pudding, cakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. Within the first year, Batter Cake and Dough participated in over 100 events, from weddings to festivals, showcasing Nicole’s dedication to her craft. With the addition of a food truck, trailer, and multiple carts, her creations gained popularity, leading to the opening of a retail location in Solon.
Nicole’s vision is to infuse joy and excitement into every bite, inviting customers to indulge in the flavors of her travels and the fun of street food culture.
